On Friday March 14th Bethany received notification from Bishop Sharma D. Lewis that we would not be able to hold our normal 10:00 am church service this Sunday March 15 or next Sunday March 22, due to the outbreak of the COVID – 19 virus or the Corona Virus.  While this is upsetting, the Church Council and Pastor Josh have figured out a way for us to worship together on Sunday at 10 am without us being at Bethany. Additional, all group activities at Bethany UMC will be suspended from now until the Church Council decides to reopen the building.  This includes committee meetings and small groups.  The building will be open for the continuation of our AA ministry and general work. 

During a Special Called Church Council meeting Friday afternoon, It was decided that we will have our 10:00 am Sunday morning church service virtually.  While we know that this will be a little different, we believe that this is the best solution at the moment.  We will be using a video conference service named Zoom.  People joining online will need to take a moment and install the zoom application from the zoom.us download web page.
